Ancient Roman Glass
Product ID#: ARG22
These Ancient Glass pieces are more than 2,150 years old, dating their origins back to 350-150 B.C. They were found during the era of the Bactrian Kingdom of the North Central Asia. The Bactrian Kingdom was essentially the heart of Asia during its peak. During this time the kingdom prospered in wealth, knowledge and as one of the major trading centers of the Ancient World. Bactrians were years ahead of their time as a modern and innovative society, with accomplishments in industry, philosophy, human awareness and art. These ancient glass pieces were once beads, bottles, jars, cups, vases, perfume containers and decorative tiles. Over the passing of time and from being buried under the ground the objects broke into pieces and began collecting earth mineral deposits. The deposits form unique colors, known to experts as patina.
